Consuming Antioxidants post workout—like Blueberries—can help with muscle recovery

Good Morning!

Consuming your antioxidants are key when trying to diminish the amount of free radical production generated through exercise (especially intense workouts).

Don’t take the short-road in thinking a magic pill or pasteurized juice will do the trick!

The body has a natural, intrinsic system which creates free radicals (reactive oxygen species) during intense workouts to serve as a ‘buffer’ within the body.

My favorite sources of antioxidants:

  • Blueberries (Wild Frozen Blueberries are also a top pick)
  • Dark Green Leafy Vegetables

Consume your dark green veggies daily!!!
